Why Choose Me

I am registered specialist wellness counsellor with a passion for empowering people and facilitating growth and change. I believe that we all need a safe and non-judgmental space to tell our stories and work through life’s challenges and difficulties.

I have obtained the following qualifications:

  • BA honours in psychology at UNISA
  • BA undergraduates in psychological   counselling at UNISA
  • Diploma in diagnostic radiography at Durban institute of technology

As a staunch advocate for community engagement, I’ve dedicated myself to giving back through volunteering with various non-profit organizations, including children’s homes and Lifeline, where I continue to serve as a volunteer lay counselor. My tenure in this role has been profoundly rewarding, igniting a passion within me to engage with individuals on a deeper level. This ongoing experience has emboldened me to pursue a career in counseling, recognizing it as my true calling. Through my dedication to supporting individuals in crisis, I’ve found fulfillment and purpose in guiding them toward healing and resilience.

Having served as a radiographer for over a decade, I’ve witnessed firsthand some of life’s most profound challenges. In response, I’ve honed my approach to be guided by methodologies that prioritize the individual needs of each client. Drawing from modalities such as Carl Rogers’ person-centered and solution-focused approaches, I recognize that every individual possesses a distinct perspective, and thus, I tailor my methods accordingly. After all, no two people internalize or interpret an experience in quite the same manner.
