Individual Counselling

Individual counselling is a form of counselling in which a trained counsellor meets one on one with a client in a safe and confidential environment to discuss personal matters, such as difficulties at the work place, grief and loss, relationship problems as well as other emotional and mental health related issues.

This is the type of counselling that can focus on the client’s past, immediate or future concerns, helping individuals to have a deeper exploration of their feelings and behaviors. The aim is to assist the client to understand and work through the issues at hand and to further identify aspects of their lives they will like to improve on.

Grief Counselling

Grief can be defined as an intense, sometimes overwhelming sorrow one can experience after a significant loss. For most of us grief is often associated with the painful period following the death of a loved one. However, grief can also accompany many events that disrupts, challenges and changes meaningful connections in our lives. This may include divorce or any other forms of kinship, loss of a job or financial stability, fertility and loss of good health (diagnosis of terminal illness).

Grief counselling aims to help people work through and process the various range of emotions one may experience after loss.
